SEMPREVERDE is a delicately balanced vase over two meters tall. It is a container of tears and rain from which emerges a hope of eternity: a small evergreen leaf, a hinge between death and rebirth.
Located in Piazza San Fedele during the Milan Design Week 2024, SEMPREVERDE is part of the project “Second Life: 10 trees for 10 designer totems”, born after a storm that hit the city of Milan, causing the felling of over 5,000 trees. The project, curated by Nicoletta Gatti, aims to turn the spotlight on one of the contemporary era’s most hotly debated themes: the relationship between individual, city and nature.
