At the close of a long research phase, I tried to put back together a border universe that couples rock and glass, weighty matter and fragile transparency, one that would somehow make us think about the magic of unstable balance.
Small glasses, cups, and vases challenge gravity by grabbing hold of marble fragments like mollusks cling to a rock, practicing courage and confidently standing on the brink of the abyss, exactly the way we do with our sheltered, unpredictable lives.
The collection presents some food for thought about the boundary between natural and artificial, between found and designed, wondering whether, by chance, this boundary still exists.
