Foreword
For the first time in history, the urban population is far larger than the extra-urban. The exhibition sets out to narrate this major transformation in progress.
Project
We have interpreted the curatorial project of Richard Burdett, addressing growth trends in the 16 largest cities of the world as a single factor of transformation on a planetary scale. Thanks to the invention of a transverse language capable of communicating through images, infographics, animations, texts and big data, the contents become easily legible for both sector professionals and the general public.
Results
The exhibition, which intentionally contained no architectural drawings or models, met with great success thanks to the courageous versatility of the narrative and the rigorous graphic set-up in black and white, entirely enveloping the spaces of the Venice Arsenale.
Exhibition design: Cibic & Partners
Our project for La Biennale di Venezia received the Red Dot Design Award – 2008.
